A ready-made web application for small businesses in Austria that accepts orders for renting construction machinery, calculates estimates for room painting and moving services. The built-in calculator uses formulas and AI to help select equipment, and the chat with the AI assistant allows ordering and payment without leaving the conversation. For the administrator, a powerful CRM is available to manage orders, reports, and product lists.
How did the project start?
The customer was working with the Booqable platform, but due to high costs (€300 per year) and lack of flexibility, we decided to build our own rental system and website. Now the customer pays only €5 per month for their VPS server.
What exactly did the AI models do and what remained with you as the author?
All the code was written by AI using VS Code with ChatGPT 5.5 and Claude Opus 4.6. I provided the platform and design direction.
Where does the project live: hosting, data storage, media or processing?
Everything runs on a VPS from Hetzner. The AI assistant uses Groq with the OpenAI 120b model, which operates within free limits.
How much time did the current version take and what took the longest?
Development took two months at three working days per week. The longest was aligning the design and calculation logic with the customer.
What sets your solution apart from ready-made platforms like Booqable?
We left Booqable due to high costs and lack of flexibility. Our solution is fully tailored to the customer's business, integrated into their website, and costs €5 per month for VPS instead of €300 per year.
