How did Werkzeuge Zadran start?
The client was using Booqable, but due to its cost and inflexibility we decided to build our own rental system and website. That’s how the platform was born, fully configurable to local business needs.

Werkzeuge Zadran is a custom web application for small businesses in an Austrian city. The platform allows taking orders for construction equipment rentals, managing calculations, and creating estimates for painting and moving services. An embedded calculator uses calculation formulas and artificial intelligence to help customers choose suitable equipment. In the AI assistant chat, orders can be placed and paid without leaving the conversation. An admin CRM is provided for managing orders, reports, and product catalog. The platform is highly configurable for other rental businesses – the architecture template makes it easy to change the content and product list. It targets regional businesses that do not want to rely on mass platforms and their development teams.

The project originated from a client’s request who was using the expensive and inflexible Booqable platform. Over two months with breaks, the author wrote everything from scratch in Next.js, using ChatGPT and Claude to generate code, while setting the design direction themselves. The platform includes a custom estimate calculator with AI hints, chat-based payment via the Groq API, an admin CRM, and a flexible template for adapting to other businesses. Hosting is on Hetzner, payments via Stripe, PDFs via Puppeteer and React-PDF. The author is a solo developer continuing to work on scaling the solution.
How exactly did AI help in development?
All code was written with AI: first ChatGPT 5.5, then Claude Opus 4.6. I set the platform’s scope and design direction, and the neural networks generated code that I then assembled and refined.
Who will especially benefit from this platform?
Primarily clients in an Austrian city where services are offered. But the platform can be easily adapted to any rental business using the ready-made site and engine template.
How long did development take?
Two months with breaks. The longest phase was setting up the estimate calculator and integrating the AI assistant so it could accurately help customers choose equipment.

The project is launched and operational for the client. There are no blockers – the author can use the platform as a basis for other clients.
